MacFarlane Pheasants was started in 1929 to support the supply of pheasants for propagation in the United States and has remained in the MacFarlane family to this day.

Since 1985, MacFarlane Pheasants has been under the direction of Bill MacFarlane. His foresight and drive helped create the niche market for pheasant meat, which has grown steadily since. Over the years, MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc developed a white pheasant to provide higher quality meat . To this day, MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc. strives to provide the highest quality meat pheasants to discerning chefs and consumers throughout the United States.

Our pheasant has been served at restaurants across the country as regular menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, and weekend specials, but also for private parties and weddings. MacFarlane Pheasant was also included on the menu for the 2009 Inaugural Luncheon, as presented by Design Cuisine of Arlington, VA.
