Bill MacFarlane grew up working on the family pheasant farm and today provides leadership as the 2nd generation owner-operator of MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc., North America’s Largest Pheasant Farm in Janesville.
Bill received his bachelor’s degree from University of Houston in economics and returned home to run the pheasant farm with his father, Don. Upon his father’s passing in 1985, Bill continues to manage all aspects of the pheasant business.
Bill enjoys the many opportunities that owning MacFarlane Pheasants provides while carrying on a family tradition. Bill focuses his time working on the business with emphasis on long range strategic planning, marketing and profitability of the farm. He is an active member Bird Shippers of America (BSA), the North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) and the Wisconsin Game Preserve Association (WGPA). These organizations focus on securing viability and future of the business. Additionally, Bill volunteers his time within the community on projects such as United Way and Meals on Wheels.
Bill and his wife, Dori enjoy traveling and visiting their children. Dori is a third grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School in Janesville. I have a daughter Dana and Dori has four children Sarah (with daughter Zella), Maria, Emma and Micah.
