a legacy of stewardship
After attending an early gamekeeper school, our founder, Kenneth MacFarlane, imported his first pheasant eggs from England in 1928. He founded MacFarlane Pheasant Farm the following year. After Kenneth’s death, his brother Donald took over the farm for the next 44 years with operational assistance from his brother-in-law, James Adamson. After Donald’s passing in 1985, his son Bill took the reins of MacFarlane Pheasants Inc. and still runs it today.
