Elk is a red meat and has all of the flavor and texture of beef. It is rich in protein and high in iron, yet is lower in fat, calories and cholesterol than skinless chicken or turkey. Elk is a hearty, rich tasting alternative to beef.
The 8 oz. center cut steak is delicious and tender. Farm raised in Wisconsin and fed grass and alfalfa. No hormones or antibiotics are ever given.
